Explorer, thanks for posting the pic. Your truck does look great. What leveling kit did you use?

i just checked out the fat bobs 2" lift with the pro comp e3000 shocks and it says it doesnt fit the 07 quad cab but the 1.5" is a better fit why is this?

It's because the upper control arm will hit the top of the shock thing over bad bumps...you will hear an ocassional thud....or something like that.....I can't remember exactly what hits what.

But more than 1.5" and you may have issues with that. I have the 2" and I hear it sometimes.

i just dont understand why they would make a 1.5" leveling kit if it doesnt level the truck i think im in the same position as the op i want it level for as cheap as possible i was also researching the bilstien 5100's anyone have any luck with those on a 2wd?

Well if I wasn't confused before, I am now... so any recommondations? Why is there so little to choose from with the 2x4 quad cabs? Does anyone offer a 3" that has springs and shocks similar to what is available for the 4x4 version?

go outside and look at your suspension and you will understand what is going on...you have a spring in a bucket between two control arms, connected by a spindle, with a shock in the middle of the spring...You can either get a longer spring, a spacer for the top of the spring, or a longer spindle to lift it...
