Y-Pipe Suggestions
I am looking to have the stock Y-pipe replaced on my truck to allow for a more free flowing exhaust. Do you guys buy these Y-pipes online somewhere, or do you just have the exhaust shops fab them up? if so, how much would it run me to just have them fab up a Y-pipe? TIA
I had a shop make mine when I put my headers on. Very compact, about a foot long. It's not 100% free flowing but MUCH better than the stock "Y-Pipe".
Had I known about it at the time, I would have purchased a Magnaflow Y-Pipe online for about $25 (Summit, Jegs, etc.), it looks to be as free flowing as you can get...

Real cheap to buy. Then just have an exhaust shop weld it in for you.

Go all the way and get longtube headers with an off-road 3" y-pipe... lol that's really the only way to get it free flowing, plus it changes the stock crossover point to just behind the tranny instead of right underneath the engine.
