Default tranny problem

this just started yesterday. my truck shifts real hard when it goes from 1st to 2nd. and a little bit from 3rd to second. i changed my fluid and filter and nothing was burnt and didnt have any metal pieces in the pan. my friend works at a dealership as a mechanic and he works on transmissions and he said that it could be the computer or the shift solenoid which. he said that he could flash my computer and it might fix it. im not really sure and was wandering if someone else might have the same problem.

Well, tranny work is expensive. I'd let him flash it, it won't hurt anything, just put everything back to default stock settings. If it doesn't work go from there.

Are you getting any check engine lights or DTC codes?

i got it fixed. it turned out to be a sensor in the shifter. it was causing the transmission no knowing how to shift. it was cheap to and they had to put the sensor in and re flash the computer and re learn the transmisson.
