Default Lift Spacers

Looking to get the 2 inch coil spacers from fatbobsgarage, with the new shocks of course. But the old man as well as a few buddies keep insisting it will wear the tires faster, make the ride ALOT worse, and be bad on the front end in general, any truth to any of these rumors, i have an 08 qc hemi. Thanks and by the way sorry for the recent amount of posts, but just recently i paid off my bills and found i had somewhat of a budget to put into my truck or girlfriend, the truck won

You'll be fine. Tons of people have level kits and it doesn't affect the ride. I have a steel coil spacer on mine which i guess is rougher than the urethane ones. It rides the exact same. I've got an 08 hemi quad cab and i can't tell the difference. As for shocks, I just stayed with the stock ones, you don't need to get new ones. I can honestly say it rides the same, and i dont know who your friends is but I have never heard it makes you tires wear faster.

The ride will be the same. Don't listen to you friends, they sound like theyre jealous...

It will ride just like stock or better, especially with shocks. And as for the tires wearing out faster due to the leveling kit.. Well lets just say that is more than a little false.

Get a wheel alignment after and forsure your tires wont wear any more than normal. If you dont get an alignment you'll wear the outside shoulder of your tires in under 10k. This will become apparent when you look at the camber angle after the install...

i had a level on my dakota and it had the same ride. you tires will wear faster if you don't have an alignment. a buddy of mine just got a kit on his f-150 and i told him to have it aligned and he didn't so after a month he was buying two tires. as far as the shocks if they are still stock go ahead and replace them if you have the money.

As Pete_YK said, the only way it will wear tires faster is if you do it and do not get an alignment. As long as your alignment is good you will be ok. There are LOTS of lifted and leveled trucks out there.

And when you get your alignment, they will not be able to use factory specs, so make sure who ever does your alignment knows how to measure for the lift.

Doesnt matter. Torsion keys or spacer or block of pressure treated lol.. all of them do the same thing and throw out camber to the point of needing a alignment after install.

I highly recommend new shocks to compensate for the lift, you dont want to have your shocks top out over ever little bump, i have the 2 inch kit on mine from FBG. with the procomp shocks
