defrost dust?

Its not hard to take the entire dash apart and the Service Manuals in the links in my sig can help you.
Ive never heard of white dust coming out of the dash vents so I would love to hear this one.
On a side note, if you loose motivation just in doing thread searches (which are quick, easy and painless), how are you going to keep motivation to literally tear apart the inside of the truck?

haha get a bunch of redbull to keeo you going thru that process. This is just a total shot in the dark but did the person who own it before you smoke like crazy? I bought my truck and it was really nice n clean on the inside, until i started looking around. I took dash out to put a head unit in and it was filled to the brim with ashes. It was like nothing I'd ever seen before. Then like you mentioned i turned on defrosters for the frist time and ashes and some little black stuff came out then it all cleared up.
