Default 08 Ram 1500 front suspension clunking

I have a 2008 Ram 1500 4x4 that makes these "clunking" noises when I hit any bumps or inconsistencies in the road. It's driving my crazy and I'm wondering if anyone has any insight as to what it could be. I did put a 2 in. leveling kit on the front as well.

I'm thinking it could be a number of things like bad strut, wheel bearing, swaybar endlinks...etc..

Has anyone had this similar problem? Any help would be great! Thanks!

Any vibration in the steering wheel when it clunks? Also push up and down on the front bumper to see if it blinks while parked.

Since you put the 2" level on, It could be the Upper control arm hitting the shock mount bucket when your suspension travels?

You could always take it to a frint end shop to let them look it over and tell you what needs replacing. Then when they give you a quote you can make an excuse and replace it all yourself for a fraction of the cost and take it back to them to get it aligned

This is one of the most common problems out there!

Have you peeked at your struts to see if there's any leaking gojn on? Spacers do limit travel and are not in total agreement with stock length struts. HERE is an explanation of how the suspension works with the different types of leveling kits.

I've noticed this on my '04 as well and narrowed it down to the sway bar linkage. It has done it for a long time and it does suck. Those link are in excess of $100 and I don't see why they have a nuckle at the ends.

Anyone see a reason why this cannot be a solid link?

New ones? Pivot? I assume you mean the new set I added with my susp lift? Yes that have the rubber covers with the parts that pivot or swivel. They came with my Rough Country susp lift and are just like OEMs but longer due to the cross member drops.
