I want to add rear headrests to my truck. I know the easiest way would be to swap out the rear seat. But I want to keep my suede insert looks. Has anyone added them to their rear seat?

 

Huh? Maybe Im not following. You already have the OEM headrests right? Are you trying to add TVs in them or something?

 

No, my truck doesn't have head rests in the back. I want to add them so that my kids heads don't smash into the rear window if something happens.

 

Yah.. that is weird, since I thought all rams came stock with headrests.

Yeah i thought so also. You dont have the little half sized mini headrests?? That is strange.

 

I don't have the headrests on the back seat either, from the looks of things, I would say you'd have to find a seat with them already in there....i see plenty of used seats for sale on ebay....shipping would probably cost a pretty penny tho

 

my 03 doesn't have them either and it would sure be nice to add but i don't really wanna buy a back seat to get them.

edit: i just looked on google to see if i could find anything to add and it looks like the 02 and 03 never came with back headrests not sure if 04 and up had some models with out it but all the 04 and newer trucks i have seen had them.

 

just pull some from a wrecked ram and figure a way to mount them to the back seat, they dont have to extend do they?

 

The Rear Headrests Started in 2004 model Year guys!. A nice upgrade but can be costly. I imagine a swap/Mod can be done if you get the headrest and mount/tubed sleeves assy from an 04-05 Model!

 

Thats good to know info right there guys. IDK that some didnt come with them.
