Default WTF Crazy Rattling STILL

Okay well just got my truck back from the dealer. They fixed my brakes, door wiring, and trailer harness. They told me that they got all of the techs together and that my crazy rattling was coming from the steering extension from the body lift

So ill back up. I have been having this rattling that happens when I hit bumps...it sounds to be in front of the driver maybe under the hood, suspension, or in the dash. I mean, this sound happens if I hit a freaking pebble, and with LA roads in the condition that they are I have to turn up the radio so I dont go nuts

The steering shaft had some play in it so I suspended it from a bracket off of the engine. No play whatsoever now. The rattle is no better! I got someone to drive with the hood up and I stood on the bumper listening in, hit bumps that cause the rattle every day and could not hear it outside but the driver could hear it. Sounds like a dash vibration? but it sounds pretty big, not like a screw rattling

Anyone have any ideas? I am going ape**** over this

How about something up inside your cowl? Like maybe your wiper motor is loose or something? Since the motor is generally against the inside wall, you may not hear it under the hood with the engine and fan in your ear. I've noticed that the further away from the engine I get, the louder the Hemi tick is, especially if the hood is open because the fan os so frekin loud.
Just a thought.

Check your sway bar links, sounds like your truck is doing the same thing mine was, the links were shot and rattling.

yea lol they wont move at all, which would be a good sign huh?

You know, i thought that...but the problem is both are stripped out (bad shop install) and I would have to cut them to see!

I just drove it to the movies and to eat and stuff....it is driving me crazy driving, I almost want to park it. I am a student and do not have extra money and I would put two Benjamins in a mechanics hand if he could even TELL me what it is, ill fix it lol

Check all your Body bolts. I had one come a little loose and make an awful noise. Its worth a look.

I assume that is your truck in the picture on your post. Have you added step bars to it since the pic? I have a set of black ones on my truck and was having a rattling issue that ended up beign the bars. One of the bolts was loose and would it rattle when I hit the smallest bump. If you dont I have to agree with a body bolt possibly beign loose, good luck determining what it is.
