something that works for me is to take a wire wheel on a drill, and take that to the threads under the nut, spray with a little penetrating lube & there you go, but i guess you got your nut off allready

Default Lower a arm nut bolt

Can't believe I'm reading this. Just got back form "discount tire place" was going to have them install Bilstien 5100 load level struts on my 2006 1500 Ram, After keeping it for a day and a half they called and said they couldn't get the lower a arm bolt out. Thought I'd check out here see if anyone else had this problem. Was going to give up and take it to stealership have them do it.

it'll eventually come out, but you may fock up the bolt in the process lol. my passenger side came out easy. but the driver side was a bish! BFH to the rescue. ended up focking the bolt up anyway, BUT thats an easy fix. just buy a new bolt from the hardware store lol.

I just found this thread, after posting a new thread here.

I've tried impacting it with a 1/2", and a 3/4" impact, a breaker bar. Tried hitting it with a hammer, with an air hammer. Even tried heating it up a bit. It doesn't want to move. Any other ideas?

The part number is : 06508351AA Bolt hex flange head, shock to LCA Mounting

I'm thinking that a sawzall is the only way this sucker is coming out.

Does anyone know where this can be ordered online?

No easy way to remove these lower control arm bolts. If you can get a hold of a magnetic induction heater coil tool that might work, but they are expensive. BFH ! will get it done, be patient tho.
