H2 Wheel and Tire Swap TPMS
I don't think the spare has a sensor, at least I don't think so on my 3/4 ton.
I'm not sure if they operate on the same frequencies or not, but you would have to go to the dealership to "register" the sensors.
Why not remove your sensors and install them in the H2 wheels?
Or get a box welded up with them in it and pressurize it?

Good point about the spare since I was going to do some swapping and use the worst of the new tires as a spare.
I may be wrong, but I have heard the factory sensors aren't interchangeable between the GM and Dodge wheels because of the mounting location/angle in the wheel but this is uncomfirmed, just read it randomly somewhere on the net.
Starting to think about doing away with them. I keep a good eye on tire pressures manually. Are there any negative effects or just an annoying warning light until I reprogram to disable it?
I keep reading about guys capping both ends of a tube and pressurizing it up to keep the sensors in. I think I will pass on driving around with something that looks similar to a pipe bomb under the seat of my truck lol.

Unless you have a tuner to disable the TPMS, then the warning indicator will chime once and then the dash light will stay illuminated each time you drive your truck. otherwise, no negative side effects shall occur.
I'm not sure they're wheel specific. Most of them are just valve stem mount, you could probably make them work just fine in other wheels. The trick is that you'll need to dismount all tires, pull the sensors/valve stems, swap them, and see if they'll hold air and not interfere with mounting tires.
