Got *HID* Problems? Check in here...
was looking at getting these...

the top left ones.
I have a black sport, so the black housing would look great IMO.
I have seen them on EBay with a 8k HID kit included. Was leaning towards that, but wanted to get someone's input that has some knowledge...

Yeah, those are just halogen projectors and not MADE for HIDs although HIDs will fit. However there light pattern is worse with HIDs because they were not MADE for them
Something like this is what you want if running HIDs but these are custom made.

So I got the HIDs in the fogs no problem...
I do have the flickering for the headlights though... I bought a set of error code cancellers (which by reading seems to be resistors?) but I still get the flickering therefore I need capacitors. right???
I saw these on a charger forum and wondering if they will do the trick to eliminate the flicker effect for my Ram.

I know they are expensive, but I have OCD when in comes to a need, clean look of wiring even if its hidden. Picked up the OCD in the Corps. Someone please let me know.

post pics of what you actually have and the ohm readings you are getting from them.
The link you posted are inline resistors but here are some cheaper.

I know there's a thread about this and questions have been answered but I figured someone can help me quicker then I can find the answer. I have my bixenon HID harness installed but I'm not sure where I can mount the resistors safely. I have the 4 50w 6ohm resistors and I heard they can get quite hot but i thought about mounting them on the radiator support Right in front of the intercooler on the driver side but where I want to mount them (out of sight) I can't get in there to drill in a self tapping screw. Does anyone have maybe a picture of where they mounted there resistor and is there any other way to mount it besides the screws? Thanks for the help.
Are you talking about the ballasts? I'm not sure if there is a spot where you can mount them where they are completely hidden. What I've done in the past is zip tied them out of sight behind the headlights by the fender or I've also made a bracket for them so if it wasn't hidden, it would still look good. I hope this helps you out. I'm going to try to find some pics for you to see where everyone else has mounted them.

Thanks dirtydog I'll def try that rtv sealant and zip ties just didn't know if it might get to hot for that. Out of curiousity how well do those lights behind the grill work? Did you just use a toggle switch for them?
Ok so I got everything hooked up btw brown was the ground. But after everything was hooked up I noticed the resistor got way to hot on low beam but barely got hot on high beam?.. Also I was able to get by without hooking anything up on the passenger side. Would it create problems later leaving it like that?
. And would it be better to get 2 100w 6ohm resistors and stick in the low beam wires so they don't get so hot? They got hot enough to melt a zip tie.
