That is definitely your problem...

Do yourself a favor and purchase a relay kit... if you are powering the Ballasts directly off the headlight harness then your TIPM is likely shutting off the circuit b/c it is overdrawing current...

this is what I got installed on my 06 Dodge Ram :

- HID Kit from HidExtra : http://www.hidextra.com/h13-high-low-6000k-hid-kit/
- Their relay harness : http://www.hidextra.com/universal-hid-relay-harness/
- And this capacitor : http://www.hidextra.com/capacitor/

all plug n play AND work like a charm!

Relay now in play. Headlights are working. They better stay that way. Thank you!

Hi guys,

Have gone through this thread and learned several things, but I don't believe my question has been addressed.

I have a 2003 dodge ram w/ aftermarket headlights and individual H1 hi/lo bulbs. I ordered the mopar single beam HID kit from TSR, but was told I would need the bi-xenon wire harness for this install, which they are sending me.

I only want HIDs in my low beams, with my high beams still being halogen bulbs. My question is whether this harness seems correct to you for my install? I'm having trouble understanding the need for this, how exactly this will be installed for my application of only wanting HIDs in my low beams and if it will function correctly when installed.

I get the need for the extra resistors this harness provides, but my disconnect is whether this bi-xenon harness will work for my intended application.

Harness and install guide:

Thanks

This is going out to DirtyDog!.. I just installed a conversion kit for an 08 Dodge Ram 1500.
H13, 9008, Bi-Xenon for my headlights following a 9006 Conversion for Fog lights.I don't get any trouble with the Fog lights. I have noticed while driving a few times with the new Headlight Conversion i am getting an intermittent with the lights turning off for a few seconds and they turn them selves back on. I'm unaware of this due to me cleaning all ground connections and battery terminals as far as re-learning it self. My headlight kit came with a fusible 15A link and i tied both grounds on each headlight to the battery making sure all is grounded to a new clean surface. Am reading about the resistors and capacitors trying to figure out if anyone else has this issue?

If Matt @ TRS says that's what you need then that's what you need. Trust them. They are good at what they do and do a lot of it

Fog lights are not monitored by the TIPM but the headlights are. Use load resistors as per the first page of info instructs

lets ask anyone out their due to only having one headlight switch being plug in at all times from the hid harness to the factory headlight plug on again drivers side. Knowing the system can you wire the passengers side headlight wiring 3 wires to the drivers side to prevent the off on when motor is running to eliminate the problem.

want to find out if anyone has tried it also, is their a dodge terminator resistor you could just plug into the passenger side vs buying each side of those ebay resistors.
