Default pistons

well my truck burned up some oil and was knocking and ruined everything so i am getting it machined and doing a complete rebuild found everything i am going to use except the pistons any suggestions?

When finding pistons you need to know what your target compression ration will be. You need to know what CC the head bowls are, what length rods you have, what the crushed thickness of the head gaskets are and what CC the pistons are (dome, dish or flat) and use all of that to calculate not only compression but PTV (piston to valve) clearance so nothing hits one another.

Are you going to stroke it or bump it up to a 392? Or just refinish it and keep everything the same as the 5.7? If you descide to turn it into a 392 hemi, there are lots of places you can call and get parts or specs from.

actually right now the block is bored to 6.1 specs and all the 440s are using the 6.1 block so i am trying to find a stroker kit or at least find out what crank they use i know its a callies so if any body knows that would help
