I agree, to not use lube on a wheel stud when mounting the wheel because the torque values are rated for dry assembly and you will over torque the nuts if you use a torque wrench to recommended torque and have lubed the threads. I would recommend it when installing a new stud to reduce galling on the threads, and clean it off after the stud has seated. Wax is the best lube, but it is more difficult to remove so I DO NOT recommend it for this procedure.
