i would have to say that the GM quality is crap everything has a recall, always in the shop for work everything feels cheap to me its not whay i would want to buy for a truck as for the chevy beating a dodge i would like to see that

I can understand your points Rob, and I feel the same way, most Canadians I've met in person are like you - standoffish about America, despising things we've done, and claiming their way of life is better. I guess that is not a bad thing, its patriotism.

You can go into certain neighborhoods and everything is written in Spanish, or go to "Little Russia" where everyone speaks Russian and wears traditional clothes. The comment you made has no basis, and I'll disregard it.
I agree with you America can be a bully. Theodore Roosevelt said, "Speak softly and carry a big stick." That was in the early 1900's, so its not a "new" policy instituted by Bush. Sadly, most people in this world do not understand anything but force. I can give you countless examples, but the United Nations is a great example. They never back any of their talk up with force or consequences, and as a result, have become inconsequential in world politics and problem solving.
Before I go, I have to take you up on the comment you made about Britain saving America from the Germans. WAY WRONG. Britain was on it's knees from Operation Sea Lion (the **** plan to blockade and invade England). The only thing that saved them were the convoys from America. Did the Germans have highly advanced weapons? Of course, the V2's, Tiger tanks, etc. But they could only produce limited quantities of them. But before you say some stupid **** like Britain saved America in WWII, go talk to a veteran. Britain got their *** kicked in the Pacific - and America stepped in to beat the Japs. The fact is, Britain couldn't beat the Germans by themselves, and it was the US that stepped in to lead operations in North Africa, Italy, and Western Europe. A greater testament is looking at what happened after WWII. Britain lost its hold on the most powerful (economic and militarily) status in the world, and was replaced with America.
I'm pretty much done with this post, since it has nothing to do with why Chevys suck. But I couldn't allow someone - you - to get off saying historically inaccurate things like you did. You should take the approach of Stillborn, he listed what he was proud of, which I respect, and defended his country - which I respect.

We need an olympics for trucks........have the big 3, all stock, race the 1/4 mile, do some dirt laps, drive through the mudd, tow some stuff and pull down a house and see who is best.

I Own an '05 Power Wagon, Quad Cab, 5.7 Hemi, 4.73 gears
I was just at Terra Del Sol 4x4 Safari and I wasted a new chevy 1500 silverado ss who pulled up tome at a stop sign and revved his engine I couldn't resist and had to respond(luckily I had aired up to get gas and some beer for later that night ) The Hemi Roared and left the chevy in the dust. The dude wasn't that happy that my "off-road" truck kicked his "muscle trucks" a@#
I'm running the stock all-terrains, with street tires it really wouldn't stand a chancejavascript:void(AddText(''))
And I was the only stock vehicle (no chevy's, ford's, gm's, nissan's, toyota's) able to make the hard hill climbs up to the Mesa's
