Default Dropped the dime on some 33" TOYO's

After 7000 miles the 245's had to go. Fortunately [or unfortunately depending on how you look at it] I had a flat on I-80 outside of Elko NV. The Michelin just went away....... Tire store said I had a sidewall impact, but I think I would have felt hitting something on the highway, it didn't. I had been planning to buy some meatier tires before hunting season.... this just hurried up the process.

I bought the Toyo Open County AT's in 285/70R17's. GREAT TIRE. Road noise is non existent and they do look great on the factory 17" wheel.

I have been a fan of the BFG A/T KO's, had a couple sets on other trucks. The big drawback with those I found is moderate to poor traction on wet pavement. The Toyo's are much better from what I have experienced to this point. The big test will be mud and snow..... we shall see.

I dropped $825, which is about what the BFG's are going for, so cost was pretty much a wash.

I will let you know how they do on the trails......

I have not lifted or touched the suspension, they fit just fine - no rubbing.

Pics to come, have to dig the camera out

Here's a pretty decent link to the tires.. It doesn't show them mounted so this is still Hadenshore's show.. It does show some pretty positive feedback, as well as pricing for different sizes, etc.

Hadenshore,

I just got the very same tires 3 days ago. Paid 850.00 for them and got a free alignment. I could not stand looking at the p245/70 r17s that came on the truck. I was trying to get the bfg ko’s but the back order on them was an 8 week wait. I am now glad that I got these ones instead. They look awesome, and no rubbing at all.

One thing I was wondering is how much tire pressure should I run on them. The max says 65 PSI, the tire shop put in only 32 PSI. I would think it should be higher

The 20" optional tires measure out to about 33"x11.5", and have plenty of clearance from the factory, I can't imagine any problem at all fitting 33x12.50's unless you are putting them on a rime with backspacing that is more than 5". I have heard some people say they run 35's just fine with just a front leveling kit.

Hey, does anybody know where I can find the 35 x 12.5 r20 toyo M/T's for a reasonable amount of money. The cheapest that I have found so far $319/tire.
