So I just went outside and started my truck up. Well when I do that I start hearing a sucking sound kind of like a metal CAI makes, but its not my intake. I drove it around the block and the sound goes away after roughly 2200rpm. The sound doesnt change due to throttle position but more so rpm. I found this out by doing 25 and putting it in 1st....the sound got louder this way and died down as I slowed down. Could this be my serpentine belt?
1st time it's ever been cold in Texas? Mine does that every morning for about a block. It's just the fluid clutch fan, it's working the way it should be.
c'mon he stays in kempner..and i stay on ft hood...it hasnt been gettin that cold here...its 73 degrees out today...buy any how...i have the same noise to, nothing to worry about
It should. The tensioner is supposed to move when the motor is running. Don't know why the fan clutch should be engaged on a cold motor unless the clutch is failing.
So the dealer says they dont have the room or time to take my truck today and bring it back tomorrow.....REALLY???? I thought when you had a warranty they were supposed to take it regardless??? Oh well, whatever, Im gonna take all 13 of my F@c!in guns to the range tomorrow and have a hayday to relieve this anger.....end rant
