Default my caster is maxed out? stock suspension

so i had a rough country 6" suspension lift on my 2wd 2002 1500, and the alignment kept slipping so i had a camber/caster kit put on. the shop that put on the c/c kit also did the alignment and they did a good job, but they said they had the caster bolts at max forward so i was still out about 0.75 degree's of caster. i figured this was the lift

I took the lift off and did all new ball joints, wheel bearings, shocks, spindles, tires, and took the truck in for an alignment today. i took it to NTB right by my house (not my first choice but it's stock, how hard is it to get an alignment close enough to drive to a better shop that further away? i didn't want to destroy my new tires).

I came back to pick my truck up, and the alignment tech tells me that my caster bolts are maxed out and can't be adjusted anymore so the truck's camber is not in spec. does it make sense that even with a COMPLETELY stock suspension that the caster bolts in the camper/caster kit would be maxed out? I'm going to call the shop that put the c/c kit on and ask which brand kit it is tomorrow, but it doesn't make sense that the caster adjustment is maxed out.... anyone ever run into this issue?

thanks!
Alex

Something is definately not right. Ive got a RC 6" lift with 2.5" Daystars on top of that and have no issues with my alignment. With it being now stock and all new front end components, what is their profession opinion on the cause?

they said "the camber caster kit is the problem, that the kit is reducing the max adjustment"

i'm going to throw the truck back on my lift and see if i can figure it out, then take it to another local ntb and see if their alignment guy is any better. i'll keep ya'll posted

Link us to your caster/camber kit.

Having the kit on a stock truck could cause you problems. There are 2 different types of kits. Post up a pic or link to what you have.

Those are common to cause "slipping" of the alignment. They must be installed properly or that will happen all the time. Even if they are installed correctly, they will still have some slipping going on due to their design.

If your suspension is back to stock, take them out and install the factory bolts.

well took it by a different ntb and they looked at it for free, the guy said he would have no problem using the camber kit to get the truck aligned so they first "alignment tech" needs to go back to school.

but on my way to ntb i developed a clunk when transferring from a forward direction to reverse, or vise versa. look under the truck, lower control arm bushings are SHOT. just goes to show, lifts and big tires = hard on suspension parts. so i'm gonna put in new bushings and go from there!

well the new bushings didn't fiz the clunk

man this truck is giving me hell, i went through an pulled the ENTIRE front end apart again after the new bushings, everything looks ok, EVERY part is new moog, made sure everything was tight, and STILL there is a clunk. the clunk is a one time thing per direction, it happens the first time you brake after shifting direction from forward to reverse or vice versa. it sounds like the suspension/brakes are loading up then something slides and clunks. once it does this, it wont do it again until your change driving direction. AHHHHH lol, i never have an easy time with this truck front end!
