Default Oil pressure issues when starting my rig.

I own an 04 Ram 1500 4X4 with the 5.7 liter hemi. This past month it has read no oil pressure when I start the vehicle in the morning when it is cold. My check gauges light comes on and my oil pressure gauge reads 0. It has happened only twice. Both times I shut the vehicle off and restart it and it works fine after that. I ran a cluster test on it and it reported C-CodE. Any one with a little more knowledge on the subject know what the possible problem is, or what C-CodE could possibly mean? Where exactly is the sending unit located?

My just started doing this yesterday, after searching I'm pretty sure its the sending unit. Anybody have a picture of where the sending unit is?

The oil presure sending unit should be just above the oil filter. Very easy to find. I'd make sure it's not your oil filter causing the inital 0 readings?

Mine's been doing this for almost a year and EVERY time I shut it down and restart it, the gauge reads correctly.

Can you guys tell me what finding the sending unit will do for you? Are you thinking of replacing it, and if so, how much does one run?

Thanks for your time.

oil sending unit is right above the oil filter. Just disconnect it, unscrew it and replace it. You can buy then at Autozone or any other auto parts store

Mine was the sending unit, its right above the oil filter. It took about five minutes to change and cost 18.00 from the dealer
