Default Quick question, need answer kinda quick! :)

it is safe to drive my 2005 dodge ram 1500 4x4 without one front shock? if yes how far can i go. im going to nothern va tomorrow from south jersey and need to know if it is ok to take the truck with it missing one front shock. it has the TB in the front. please help

that or if i can use a bolt from the rear shocks to use on the front control arm to hold the front shock on? rather have front then back any ideas would be appriciated. i have the new shock just not the bolt yet

Couldn't ya go to the hardware store and buy a bolt?.I'd rather do that then drive that far with one shock off

The hardware store is an option. An auto parts store would have a better chance of having a proper bolt. I wouldn't drive that far with a missing shock.

I'd use a grade 8 nut and bolt. Get it tight as you can get (as in right size for the hole)

does anyone know the specs for the bolt so i know what size to get?

Either measure the hole in the shock or take the bolt out of the other side and if you have some where like a fastenal shop they can get you a match.

Yeah, i would take the other one and get a match for it also. Grade 8 is the way to go.
