tested fuel pressure-46lbs
tested plugs- good spark

tested fuzes wth test light- all good
used two different scan tools and has no stored codes

Did you do a compression test ?
Are the injectors pulsing ?
Maybe a timing chain issue ?

Im gonna go with timing. How many miles are on the truck? have you ever had your timing chain replaced? Or it could be something as simple as your truck not liking you, maybe you should just give it to me to get rid of the emotional turmoil it is causing you

Default help!! truck still wont start

I have not done a compression test yet. I am gonna hook u an injector node tester tomorrow to see whats going on there. I thought about timing to but my truck only has 97k on it and I didnt hear any noise at all when it stalled. All the symptoms seemed like a cps but since its fine a few people mention possibly a bad PCM since it also has no codes. Anyone know how to check a PCM?

Hey krcsrc. Post over in the 2nd gen area also. Those guys are awesome when it comes to our 5.9s. You've checked everything i would have so far. I'm stumped. Good luck bro.

^^Let's not start another duplicate thread until we've exhausted the 3rd Gen area out first. I'll move it to 2nd Gen when that time comes.

How did you test your coil pack? It could still produce some voltage but nowhere near the amount needed to start and run your truck. Aftermarket coils are junk too, so make sure your buying a descent one.
Also, I see no mention of spark plugs. I would just change them out.

Default help!!!

First off, I wanna says thanks for all the input. I just checked the coil the old school way by taking the wire off and cranking it over and it had really good spark. I checked the plugs and they looked new. Not oily, rounded over, and they had fuel on them. I checked the plug wires at the plugs and they seemed to have good spark also. Im gonna recheck the fuel pressure at the rail today to make sure the first pressure test was accurate. I was told yesterday that it needs a minimum of at least 44lbs to start. So its worth re-testing. I was just figuring the pcm was bad due to no codes and everything just stalling after never having any apparent issues. But i keep hearing that if it is anything short of 44lbs it wont even try to start. So i will re-check and post back. thanks guys

get it to your local mechanic preferrebly one you dont like... "Hey can you fix my truck for me".... Then... "holy s*** its how much?... im gonna have to get back to you on that when my tax returns come in" then fix it yourself ... May be dishonest... but thats why you should take it to a dishonest mechanic who has screwed you over in the past!
