Default Ever do a DIY exhaust?

hello everyone. I am considering not completely doing my exhaust myself (really never worked out on other vehicles) but im just considering buying the muffler and the stainless steel piping to go fromt he cat-back and having it dump out the side and having a shop do the work. I found a 5' stainless borla piece on summit for 88 bucks and im sure I can find an L for like 20 or so, any suggestions/comments?? feel free!!!!

That's easy stuff, if you get a tailpipe expander you could slip-fit everything together and use exhaust clamps (I prefer that to welding, personally)
only part would be making hangers for it, but that's just a matter of welding on a mount somewhere along the muffler to match up with the stock hangers

Hey there, I bought the Flowmaster 40s kit used on Kijiji (was about a week old, all but one piece included) had a piece custom made at a shop, and me and a buddy installed it on the truck in an afternoon, there's a ton of room to install it without raising the truck if your like me (no garage, just a gravel driveway). The kits are expensive new tho, and if I hadn't found one used I wouldn't pay the close to $1g the want for a kit.

I went y to about a 6" section of 3" to my muffler (12"case oval borla xr1) to the pipe with a 90* bend, no tip. I cannot remember the exact specs I got the pipe made to from Mandral bends, I think it was 24" on both tails with a 90* bend. Then I used band clamps from jegs which is where I got the muffler. I used 1 exhaust clamp that I welded a hanger to and connected it to a stock hanger point.
