Default Crickets in my dashboard...

Hey Everyone,

Sound like I have crickets in my heater. I hear it whenever the heater is on at all setting and high or low. Any ideas?

Thanks

Sounds like a blower motor. Try A/C, just vent air, etc. Unlikely something is stuck in a vent making a whistle noise unless it changes pitches at different blower speeds.

Sounds like the blower motor to me also. Fan on = noise. Fan off = no noise

call Billy the Exterminator lol jk. Either your blower motor is the culprit or there is a piece of debris in there rubbing on the fan.

Default hmmm...have the same problem

I've just bought an '06 1500 with the same problems. I haven't yet had the time (or inclination) to troubleshoot it.
If you or anyone else has successfully resolved it, I'd also be interested to know what they found.
Thanks
Ben

Drop the blower (it's only 3 screws) and make sure there isn't any debris in it. Mine ends up with pine needles, chewed insulation and all sorts of junk that finds its way in, often with the help of mice. About once or twice a year I have to clean it out. then just reinstall and you will be fine (until the next time).

I think i have the same problem... sounds like something is ticking when the fan is on and it is relative to the fan speed. I just had the blower out and did not see anything wrong with it. it was an intermittent problem prior to me removing the fan, now its always doing it. I'll take it out again and see what happens, maybe i knocked something loose.
