Default 3 Blink Lane Change

As per my signature, I currently have a 2007 1500 and a 2006 3500. The 07 has a really nice feature for those doing 'lazy lane changes' allowing you to 'tap' the signal arm to have it flash a couple times. Is that a function of the flasher or something else? Are their parts interchangeable to add that functionality to the 2006?

It is a function built into the computer. I don't know if it is an option that can be turned on in the 06 or not. Your dealer can check with their scan tool.

Thanks LXMan1.. Unfortunately I do not trust my local dealership to touch my diesel. As this isn't a wty issue I cannot afford to have monkeys racking up ridiculous time charges against my truck because they went to refill their coffee @ $200/hr.

I was hoping it was something simple that could be hacked.. guess not.

You need to PM dirtydog. He will explain to you if it can or cant be added, and if so how easy it would be.

I also bet you megacab radio shuts off when you turn the truck off, but your 07 doesn't (until you open your door or wait a decent amount of time). For some reason I like that feature along with the 3 blink lane change option too. Wish my 06 had 'em.

And nice color choice on your mega

My C does that. I wish it did five blinks, though.

Let me get this straight. You have two 3rd gen rams, one being a mega cab diesel, and you haven't even driven them in a half of a year? Holy guacamole.
