Default new install on my 06

hey guys just dropped a k&n 57 series cai in my baby. holy crap did it make my engine loud. i passed a guy yesterday and almost though i would have needed ear muffs. lol o well what a differance it made. i went to pull across a lane before the light change and it slammed me back in my seat and my 4 year old yelled at me for chirrping tires.

has anyone put the e3 plugs in there truck and what did you put in if you didn't put em in. thanks guys

Glad you like the CAI. How much was it if you dont mind me asking?

As for the E3's, most guys will agree to go back in with OEM plugs and spend the money elsewhere.

$330 for 8hp is not worth the money to me, but to each his own I guess. The only CAI that has any major gains is the Vararam set-up. The Airaid MIT with a K&N drop-in filter nets the same gains for 1/2 the price.

lxman it was supposed to be 10.5 hp for the 57 series and 8 for the 77. but yea i agree. i looked hard at that one too but didn't feel like droppoing the extra cash

I always stay with the champion copper spark plugs. No need to go past with what's rated a best for the truck. Atleast that's what i was always taught
