To get into lo you have to be in N either stopped or moving slowly like 3mph

do you have the switch on the dash?

if so put truck in neutral, foot on the brake, then switch into 4lo

It will be a little more difficult... Do you have a manual lever to shift it... or is it a switch on the dash?
Bring the truck to a full stop, put the transmission into neutral (not drive) . Make sure your foot is on the brake and attempt to get it into neutral. From there go into 4l. IF that doesnt work, i've had good luck with older vehicles putting into neutral, rolling down a hill and hitting the brakes.... then engage the e-brake... usually shifts right in for me after that. IDK Why exactly, maybe something to do with disengaging the transmission? Im not entirely sure.
