Tow Hooks
So last night I helped someone out who was stuck in a pile of snow. As i got on the ground and looked under the truck to attach my tow stap to the "Tow Hooks" I was shocked to find that I didnt have any on the front of my truck.
I have an 04 4.7L with tow package. Now should my truck have come with them from factory?
I bought the truck used a few months ago and never really looked. Could the guy before have just taken them off for some reason?
The truck never had a bush bar installed.

Well I suppose that is true. However, most of Canada does get snow, and it wouldn't be a big deal to have tow hooks on vehicles. They could still slide off the road, die and need to be moved, etc. You'd think even tow-truck drivers would like that idea, it must be tough to pull newer cars out of the ditch without breaking something. I fixed up a 99 Sunfire and there was almost nothing on there to tow off of just to pull it off a trailer

The truck is 4x4 and i wasnt sure if it mattered about the tow package I just figured id give as much info as posible.
Ya Im very shocked that I didnt have any tow hooks. Annoying that I have to put a set on myself now.
Any ideas of the best location and easiest way to install them? If you pictures to that would be awesome.
I saw on another thread "Homemade Tow Hooks... DONE. (with pics)" installed by CHEAPBEATER He welded a whole bracket together and cut trough the bumper. For me that is a little labour intensive and I dont know how to weld...lol..
I am looking for a bolt on location...
Thanks for the help

There are mounting holes in the frame, inside the bumper brackets for Mopar tow hooks. All you have to do is pop out or cut the black plastic piece for the grill.
The mopar ones are a little pricey (about $150 I wanna say) but any others ones would need some fabrication.
If you look at the silver bolts outside of my grill guard/winch mount, those are the locations of the frame mounted tow hook holes...
