Default Need help with CV joints after level

I have a 2002 Ram 1500 Quad cab 6'6" bed put a leveling kit in the front and 3" blocks in the back. I want to put 20" rims with 35" tires on it. Ever since I lifted the truck, I'm having driver side Cv problems. This will be 3rd joint in 8 months. I've read that lifting the truck puts a strain on the joint, but haven't found what's the fix for this problem? Can someone point me in the right direction?

Your level is obviously too high, the maximum safe amount to level the front is 2", although some get away with 2.5", I don't recommend it.

The fixes would be:

A) Some high angle CVs if you can find them, I haven't even seen them for the IFS Ram 1500. Even if you find them, high angle CVs are NOT cheap.

B) Bring the front down and go with a max of 1 1/2 - 2" of level, remove the rear blocks and do a 3" body lift. You'll be where you are now or even a little higher and it'll keep the CVs at a realistic angle.

C) Other cherce would be scrap the level and blocks and do a suspension lift, preferably one of the better ones that is easier on the CVs...

Here's Some pictures of my truck. Put the 3" Adrenaline Leveling kit on with 3" blocks in the back. The Bottom of the front wheel well sits 39.75" of the floor, the bottom of the rear wheel well sits 42.5" from the floor. Why would only the driver side CV go bad?

Wow, 3" ain't a level kit! No wonder your CV went bad. Enough guys have issues with 2.5" level kits. Personally, I don't like to see a level kit over 2" which is bad enough on the CV angles.
I'm sure the passenger side one is on it's way too...

It's becoming pretty obvious that raising your truck the cheap way isn't cheap after all!!! What do you think of the rough country lift?

Yeah, IMO the industry has gotten out of line with these "leveling kits". Used to be all you saw was 1.5" kits which just got the majority (but not all) of the rake out. Gave clearance for a little bit bigger tires, still got decent aerodynamics for fuel economy and were safe on CVs. But they just keep getting higher and higher which causes major issues.

Rough Country is a decent kit for the money. I don't know of anyone who's had any major problems with one. In the "bargain" kit price range it seems to be one of the better ones. The big things to look for in the kit are the drop brackets to keep the geometry at or close to stock and a decent sub-frame or at the very least a dual cross-member system as opposed to just a single cross piece.
