Question Door Ajar, ABS, Brake Light "ON"

Noticed my dome light was on as i approach my Ram. Started it up and the following lights stayed on:
Door Ajar
Brake
ABS

What could this be? All problem came at once. Seems unlikely. Any help?
Hate electrical problems since the repair shop and dealer will just keep running test and keep replaces parts.

Sorry to hear the issues. You can always start by downloading the service manuals from the links in my signature and search through it.

The ABS and brake may have something in common

As for the door ajar switch, it is likely a door latch assembly gone bad or a broken wire between the door and body. Thats what happens in most cases. The dome light is on because it thinks a door is open.

So I think the ABS light issue is because the truck as shifted from 4H to 4L and I didn't really drive it enough. Just backed into my driveway. Went away after driving it a bit. This seem right to you?

The Door Ajar light went away after some wd40 in the latch, but the fault show 67, think it's door lock switch related?

https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...code-list.html

If you cleared the codes and that came back then you still have an issue. The mechanical part of the latch is working if the door is closing. However, the electronic part of it still has some issues it seems

You can download the parts manuals from the links below and find the part numbers and order one online from various sites.

Weed,

How do I clear the code? Or will the code automatically go away when the issue is fixed? To your point, if I clear the code and it pops up again, then I can better trouble shoot it.

Thanks

The CEL or MIL might go off but that doesnt mean the code was cleared. With an 04 you can pull fuse #23, then take the key and turn the ign on-off-on-off-on and wait a few seconds. It will chime one and then two more times. Remove the key and replace the fuse and then crank it. That will reset the PCM and remove the codes.

Weed, you are very helpful. I have gotten many tips from your previous posts too. I will give this a try and update this post.

I will be upgrading the stereo too this weekend. Will try to take photos to share. New head unit, speakers, amp, and a sub under the seat. Will also be detailing under the hood. Exciting weekend.

Yeah that sounds like an exciting weekend. It always gets better too as you get closer to getting finished. Just remember to disconnect the battery before you work unless you are really careful.
