So I'm stumped yet again. I have the stock springs and the 2 1/2 dayside leveling kit installed. But I can't figure out how to undo what the previous owner did to lower the trucks rear end. I know they used drop shackles and under slung the leafspring. But how do I Go about fixing it?

He moved the leaf pack UNDER the axle to drop it. It should look like this minus the lift block

 

Do I need to drop the axle or can I put it on the lift and jack up the bod, and slip the springs back on top

 

You should be able to support the frame with jack stands and remove the leaf pack completely, slide it backwards to the rear and then back forwards over the axle and bolt it all back in place
