Default Torque for 2004 Dodge Ram Wheels
Does anyone know what the proper torque is for tightening wheels on the 2004 Dodge Ram?

135 ft/lbs according to the manual.

There is a TSB for 03s (Same Wheels as 04) that indicates 100 ft/lbs to prevent warping rotors.

this may be a dumb question, but, if i change to 17" wheels would the required torque change?

I just spoke with my local dealership and they said the torque should be 95 ft/lbs for the 2004 Ram 1500.

I think they are trying to solve the warping rotor problem.
Before long it will be "finger tighten, then back off 1 turn".
