7 turns gave me about 1 3/4 of lift, most of the people that complain of a rough ride don't have longer shocks. I recommend bilstein 5100's

I did a torsion bar crank level on my 05. Haven't replaced the stock shocks yet, but I also don't do much offroading, and haven't had any problems with ride quality yet.

When I cranked the bars on my 1500 I had, bolts were almost 6 full turns. My ride was still great. No CV axle problems either.

I just went to ebay and got the leveling torsion keys for like 90 bucks(they have a slightly different pattern that automatically raises your front end)....they were relatively easy to swap out and you dont sacrifice ride and save the added stress you are putting on your oem torsion bars......here are a set.....ebay item# 250768795845
