So I bought an 06 Ram that has a Mopar remote start system installed in it, but I did not get any remotes for it. I can buy a remote and get it programmed from Dodge but it will cost me the same as if I were to buy an aftermarket alarm/starter combo installed so not worth it IMO.

Is there any way to buy a remote online and program it myself?
Are the mopar remotes generic for lots of vehicles, or would I need one specific for my truck?

I have done some reading and there are instructions on how to program mopar systems similar to mine, so I'm sure it can be done if you can get a remote. Ebay just seems to have the complete kits, not just a remote so not sure where to find one.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
