I am trying to do most of the maintenance on my truck by myself. I notice in the manual it say to lube Drivetrain, suspension, and steering grease fittings every oil change. Where are these located? What do I use to lube these fittings? I'm pretty novice when it comes to being a mechanic so any info is greatly appreciated.

Oddly enough, there are no grease fittings. Thats why when guys replace ball joints and tie rods and other gears, they buy serviceable parts WITH grease fittings.

 

Ok, so it is not something I should worry about then. So also when I do replace these parts you recommend I switch to serviceable fittings?

 

Almost everyone does and most people swap over to Moog that already has them. You can buy them on ebay, www.rockauto.com and most local auto parts stores.
