Default Need Some Help With a Code/Part replace

Ok so when i started my truck this morning the check engine light came on, so i brought it by Auto Zone and the guy told me the code was P0441. He said that it meant the EVAP canister Purge Solenoid was bad and needed to be replaced. However when he printed the code and it listed the the top 4 common problems with this code it lists in order
1) Defective or loose fuel cap-(which i have thrown a code for before)
2) EVAP canister or hose cracked-not connected
3) Purge or Vent Solenoid Defective (This is what he said it was, $49.99)
4) Vacuum Leak at Engine
Now i have a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi 2WD, is there anyway to know for sure if it is the solenoid or do i just need to trust the guy? Also i picked up a haynes book to see how to replace the part myself, it gives great pictures of the part but doesnt really describe where on the vehicle it is located and the difficulty of changing it yourself. Is this something i can do or for the hassle am i better off taking it in and getting it done?
Thanks guys!

What i would do first is get under the truck and look at the vacuum canister hoses and make sure none are cracked, collapsed or damaged.

Congrats on finding the issue. It is always good to save some money so you can use it elsewhere
