2004 EGR Valve

I purchased a EGR valve for my 2004 2500 Hemi Ram. Went to install and I have no egr valve on my truck. Build date on the vehicle is 05/04. From everything I found it seems like the 03's didn't have and 04's and above had one. Does anyone have an answer?

'04 and up 1500s have EGR, not so with 2500s. 3/4 ton trucks are not subject to the same EPA restrictions as 1/2 tons. Count your blessings...
