Default 2.5 leveling kit

Just put in a 2.5 inch leveling kit in one side of my 2006 ram 1500 4x4 ifs front end and with the truck still up on a jack stand, the hub wont spin anymore. .the cv joint is binding due to the angle from the lift...will it right itself when I put weight back on it with the tire on it? It said 2.5 inch leveling kit but it only measured around 1.5 inches tall before I installed it on the top of the strut..any help would be great

your CV joint sounds like it may be on its way out.

Anyone? Im pretty sure the cv joint is fine..it was spinning freely before. .would the angle be fixed a little by an alignment?

Gotta watch them CV angles, especially on the '06+ coil over trucks. Lot of people with over 2" level kits have problems...

Try using a second jack to jack up the knuckle/lower control arm on one side and see if it frees up the CV joint. If it does I would say your binding due to the spacer.

ya it seems that way.. talked to rough country and they said it was binding in the front diff and not at the cv joint because i have only one side done right now and the 2 cv joints are at different angles.. does that seem like bull or like it makes sence? i would think it wouldnt matter if they were different because of the ifs anyways

since it's in the air still, you could always twirl the torsion adjusters, lowering the ride height- and see when it starts to spin..

something isn't right though, because even in the air, when the cv's are at their most dramatic angle- they should still allow spin.. and no- the two different angles theory is bull- have you ever driven on a hill at an angle? what's the difference?
