Not enough air flow, I suspect. You want 3,200 cfm or more.

yeah, I agree. 2500 cfm is on the low end for a V8. I also don't like the fact that they don't list the amp draw. Some fans are pretty inefficient and draw a lot of amps.

The "consensus" is 2800 cfm should be the minimum, but I'm with Mike and think a fan up around 3200 cfm should be used. Also, so you don't have alternator issues, try to stay with a fan that pulls less than 30 amps.

Additionally, get the appropreate controller, relay, ect.

You would want to go buy cfm flow, but it's apparent that most manufacturers these days lie about true readings, and since OEM fans aren't labeled, the best thing to look for is blade design, amp draw and actual overall size of the fan. Essentially the higher the amp draw, the more hp the fan motor has. How much air is drawn/pushed is up to the design of the blades. Ford holds many patents in the blade design for maximum cooling. Think about it, those fords sweat all over the place and go nowhere..lmao

There is a reason why most guys use the fans we do like the Taurus fans and a simple Hayden controller.
