yes i actually replaced bothe sensors cam and crank and nothing .. i used the oscilloscope from and snap on modis scanner to view both sensors.. and while driving u could see the crank sensor would loose signal when it missed cam sensor never lost signal.. but with the cam unplugged it was perfectly fine.. and it does it at idle reved.. load no load dont matter how with the cam sensor pluged in it will mis with out it runs fine.. im guessing computer after aall the test done.. thanks to everyone trying to help with this.
If your getting erratic signal through the O-scope, then you have a faulty signal. I would remove the cam and crank sensors and inspect the tonewheel for debris or damage. If there is no damage then you must have a shorted or loose connection.
The fact that you can unplug the cam sensor and everything remains good is because when the crank is on it's 2nd rotation and the pcm cannot detect a cam signal, so the previous signal is used and therefore you never have a failure once unplugged. The pulses are just a "refresher". So, I would have to say that your problem is likely with your cam. Either a cracked, broken tonewheel, loose or incorrectly mounted sensor, or there's just debris in the way. Pull the sensor and do a visual.
Have you noticed a drop in gas mileage lately?
Any Pictures of where this sensor is? May be what is wrong with my mileage.. I have had the Idle issue miss issue too, but figured it was just poor fuel.
