Ok so my truck didnt come with factory fog lights but already had the wire that i could connect fog lights if i wanted to. So if i bought the fog light harness and the headlight switch with fogs my fog lights should work right?

 

I hope so! I did the same thing. I have the lights installed, but haven't had time to swap the switch yet to try it out.

I've read something before about needing to do something to the PCM to enable them, but I don't remember. I'm hoping to try it out this weekend

 

ive put in the fuse, plugged in the switch the fog lights and still nothing. ive put in the fuse, plugged the lights in, plugged the new headlight switch on and the little foglight symbol doesnt light up but my headlights come on

 

Some guys get lucky and they can plug them up and they work. Others find they do not work and they have to have the dealer use the StarScan to turn the option on to use them

 

well it doesnt help that the guys working at my dealership are dumb they didnt know what the box which was the compasator for my hid's and what all the wiring was i left it up there for 6 1/2 hrs and they had no idea what they were doing.
