i have a 2002 dodge ram 1500 and at idle theres a random pop in the exhaust every so often. its like brum brum brum brum brum pop brum brum brum pop brum brum brum pop. has anyone had this or have any info id appreciate it cuz it gets annoying and kinda worries me if its a potential problem

 

my 4.7 does the same thing idk wat it is

 

check spark plugs and spark plug wires

 

4.7's have coil on plugs and mine did it before i rebuild my motor and after with new plugs and coil packs i say dont worry about it and mine is staight piped to so that might be y u can hear it cause there isnt a muffler to quiet it down so u dont notice it

 

I am assuming you still have the stock resonators and cats on the exh?

 

negative on the resonater. never had one to start. only thing in my exhaust is a cat

I was thinking maybe a pop from NOT having them.......hmmm

 

still have my resonator and every once in a while ill hear it you kinda have to be listening for it though
