Default Aftermarket Stereo

After an hour trying to find what I'm looking for I guess I'll just ask...I have the volume controls on my steering wheel and I'm looking at a new stereo...will the volume controls still work? I suspect not.

Nope unless you buy a separate adapter
for my aftermarket stereo it was about $80 so I didn't do it it could be cheaper for ur radio or they might not even make one

The only adapter that I know of off the top my of head is the swi-jack. Those run anywhere between 60-100 dollars. They're not perfect, but they will allow you to use the steering wheel controls with basically any radio that has a remote input.

Cruthfield may have the item as well. I have been looking at aftermarket HU's on their site and I always look to see which ones are compatible. Just a thought.

I just replaced my stereo with a Pioneer recently. I used the Axxess ASWC. It was a simple hookup on mine and works good. It can be found for right at $45.
