Default dis-assembly of 2003 ram 1500 headlights

i want to take off the lenses on my headlighs to polish the insides because the guy before me was a firefighter and had a hole drilled for the strobes and leaked water into them and no the insides have a slight yellow tint so i want to polish them but not really sure how to take them apart,

is there clips or bolts i can take out? i know the 06-08 you have to heat them up and take them apart that wat then re apply silicone but hoping mine arnt the same

yup.. Same thing.

Heat em up in the oven to loosen and soften the glue holding the front to the back.

you cant polish the 'chrome' on the inside of the headlight though. even tape takes that stuff off, so if its the chrome that shot, you need new headlights.

Sound like you are talking about the lense plastic though.

My personal suggestion....if the headlight have other holes for 'strobes' and what not, and have had leakage, scrap the lights and buy new ones. just dont buy them from a stealership, cause you'll get soaked.

check out ebay. Get a nice set of headlight with cleared corners and/or black housing for like 100 bucks. almost cant go wrong with that. or just spend a couple and get some nice aftermarket halos.

on my 02-05 lights I bake them at 170* for 15mins and pull apart just FYI. New ones are the way to go though IMO unless you are customizing them.
