Default Need OEM exhaust tube and clamp

Alright, I'm working on a custom exhaust, but I want to utilize the OEM tube and clamp system.

What I am looking for is the section of exhaust from the front (inlet) of the muffler to the section with the end that has the u shape indent for the pin on the engine side of exhaust pipe.

Does anyone have this? I am willing to throw something down and pay for shipping. I got a flowmaster on the way, so looking to do something this weekend.

I dont want to cut my stock muffler since I have 7 month old and if its too loud- I'll have to put it back to stock.

pm me or email dragginbody at gmail dot com

The Magnaflow #16700 kit comes with that pipe that goes from the front Y-pipe to the muffler. it is for the 06/07 that have a resonator up there that our 08's do not. Perhaps they will sell you just this pipe. It a nice stainless pipe. I am curious as to why you would buy a muffler that will rot away in a couple years vs a nice better flowing stainless muffler?
The Flowmaster will be awfully loud. It will drone in the cab. Even the Magnaflow is loud at times but it isn't as bad and doesn't drone in the cab. I also hope that you have a tuner to turn off the MDS because it sounds like a Jake brake on a Semi when it kicks in.
I just offer my opinions from experience.

But as for the pipe, go to www.magnaflow.com and contact them about this pipe, this way you can use it if needed.
I can tell you that the Magnaflow #16700 kit bolts directly to the stock mid-pipe that you are talking about. When I installed my kit, I just loosened the clamps and used a rubber mallet to knock the tailpipe loose from the muffler and the muffler from the pipe. I have removed the Magnaflow system and reinstalled the stock set-up a couple of times with no problem.

Cool thanks for the info. I'm not looking for the section from Y to muffler. I need the section that is part off the muffler on the inlet side that goes to the clamp.

I see the you are talking about. That is nice. I got the flowmaster for $30, so that's the reason I went with flowmasters.

Ok, so you are looking to cut the inlet off of a stock muffler? I understand now. You just need a stock muffler to cut up correct? You need one from a 06-08 then. Good luck.

Yeah, exactly. That's a better way to put it. I don't need whole muffler.that would cost a ton
in shipping

I tried they want $100, and they won't let me cut the pipe I need, I would have to buy whole muffler. For what they are asking, I could have muffler shop make one.

$100???? That's nuts!!
I'd say buy/find some 3" exhaust tubing and a muffler expander at harbour freight with 2 clamps
