Default Quick Cat Converter Question

Need some information, does anyone know if the O2 Sensors on a Dodge Ram 1500 5.7L V8 HEMI 4x4 SLT are before or after the Cat Converters? Trying to run true duels from the headers into cutouts into quad exhaust. Need to know if there is anyway to bypass C.C, really don't want to have to run high flow C.C. Thanks!

All Rams, since 1996, have had O2 sensors before and after the catalytic converter. The front ones (in front of the converter), called upstream O2 sensors, send signals to the PCM, helping it control the air/fuel ratio, and have nothing to do with the catalytic converter (leave them alone). The post-cat units (after the converter), also called the downstream O2 sensors, determine whether the converter(s) are functioning properly.

I will move this to the 3rd gen section, get you some additional info/help.

Yep, you have both pre and post cat O2s. You can always do the non-fouler trick for the rear O2, works every time...

(if you aren't familiar with it, I have a DIY in the FAQ section)...

Curious on what type of headers you are running.
