Just put a K&N replacement filter in the stock box. There is no real gains to be had anyway other than noise unless you have a big cam and opened up heads.

The description shows it's a universal part for all 4 available engines at this site...

I have a k&N filter in my air box at the moment. I was gonna purchase the CAI in place of buying the cleaning kit for my filter (it needs to be cleaned). So it looks like ill just clean the filter screw the CAI.

And yes Owensue, i think its Kool-vue's mistake. On the website i ordered it also states it fits the 5.9L, but the throttlebody is a completely different location. I am returning the parts tommorow

So i just thought i'd share with ya guys the conclusion, i dunno what the hell haha. I recieved the return info through email, said i would also recieve a fed-ex label in a seperate email to send the parts back.

I never recieved the label so i spoke to a customer service rep via live chat from the website. He told me he would look into it, instead of saying anything about the missing fed ex label he simply informed me they had already refunded my money and closed the order.

3 days after this convo, i come home to a seccond box identicle to the first one, contains another intake kit exactly the same as the one they already sent me. So to sum this up, i have had my money returned, and now i have 2 sets of the intake kit that dont fit my truck... Anyone wanna buy a cold air intake kit for 2003-2005 dodge ram? hahahahah

OK guys. I just bought the Kool-Vue for my 2006 Ram 1500 with the 5.7. Like the others, no instructions. Does anyone have pics of where the brackets go? I spoke with Customer Service a couple times and they said they would send instructions. Well, they were so generic it would just about apply to any cold air intake on any vehicle. They called me today to tell me the manufacturer doesn't have instructions and offered to refund $12 of the purchase price to help me out.

Fabrication sometimes means using your imagination. In the meantime, we need pics because while I know what a CAI is, not all look or are made the same.

I found out that K&N offers a very similar model on their website and they have directions that you can print. It took me about an hour to install.
