Default valve adjustment on hemi 5.7

Hey anyone know if you have to adjust your vavles on the Hemi 5.7. I put in a K&N air tube and filter and now I hear tapping sounds??? bad gas? I run mid to high grade.
Thanks for any help!

Are you sure its not the Fuel injectors firing ? The dodges are known for loud injectors ...

Non adjustable I believe. You are either hearing the injectors clicking, the EGR valve in the open intake, or an exhaust leak at the manifold.

I have the same issue.Never really tried to figure out where it came from. Just thought the HEMI'S were noisy engines.

Also check the exhaust manifold bolts for any broken or loose ones

Mine did that. As soon as I put on a different muffler, it went away. The only time that I hear it now is when i'm towing.

Ya thanks for all the info I'll check the exhaust manifold for leaks. other than that not one problem.except one other event I was off roading in the desert and when I went off of a 2foot wall of sand into a river wash and hit so hard that it shut the engine off.question is there a safty device that was triggerd? Oh you all have some real nice rigs.

you could have jarred a number of sensors to cause them PCM to shut down the engine. Better be careful
