Default Hi Idle

Have a new problem. My 03 1500 3.7 sat for a day and when I went and started it it this morning, it idle's at 3200 rpm's. Everything that I can think of won't slow it down. There is no code showing. The only code, that does show up every once in a while, is P0420. But, it was idling fine when that code first showing up. Any idea's? Thanks.

It just started working right again. It did it later, but as I drove it some, it smooth out on it's own. I'm thinking, that it has something to do with the I/M Readiness. I'm still getting INC on a couple items.

INC indicates a particular monitor being checked hasn't completed its diagnostic testing. This is usely found on the scanner after your DTCs have cleared.
An example:

MIL Status------------------- Off
Misfire Monitor ----------------OK
Fuel System Mon. -------------OK
Comp. Component------------- OK
EGR Monitor -------------------NA
Castalyst Monitor-------------- INC
and so on.

The I/M Readiness Status will show all monitors as OK. Those with NA, means the vehicle isn't equiped with the item.

Using a "Quicklynks" Digital Auto Scanner T-49, for the OBD11/EOBD+CAN.

That won't have anything to do with a high idle. Just means it hadn't run long enough in closed loop to monitor the cats yet.

Just want to say thanks for all the help. Still can't understand how she passed inspection the first time, and two weeks later it fails when I went to replace the stolen sticker.
But any ways, next week, I'm going to drive it to New Orleans then maybe over to Gulfport, Miss. Too put some miles on it. Hope it will be enough miles to reset the CPM to pass another test.
