Could be a long shot but crack the diff open and rotate. Sometimes the ratio is stamped in the ring gear if its an after market set I believe.

so i had a dodge tech of my buddy look at the truck and plug it in with the chrysler computer. found the trans to be shifting (with o/d on and off) 1st, then 2nd and then shifting automatically to 4th and wont barley ever go to 5th... it skips 3rd completely! funny thing is that it doesnt even ask for 3rd at all.. he told me i need a new tcm which is part of the main computer.
does this sound right guys, just looking for confirmation if someone has had this happen before. thanks!

TCM is built into the PCM so that is accurate. But before you drop 200-300 on a new or remann-ed PCM I would take it by a trans shop and ask them as well. Dont be scared to take it to two or three shops.

Sure, the dealer can do it not obviously its not free and you still may have trans issues internally.
