Default 16 wheels on a 2 wheel drive

Greetings...new to the board here....I want to ditch my stock 17 inch wheels.....WHat I want is to get away from chrome or aluminum....I have found some 16 inch black D hole wheels by Crager similar to my stock car wheels and wanted to know will the 16's fit on my Truck......I looked at the calimpers with my sotck 17s on there and it looked like I have about 1/2" of clearance right now....I don't mind grinding on the claipers if I have too. The overall object if is to put some 295/50 R16's on it.

Thanks

you'll have to do alot of grinding, i dont think you can take that much away from the caliper to give it the necessary clearance without messing something up on it.

You need a minimum of 17" to clear the calipers.

I just had the 17's off my truck and it would be very, VERY tight! I'd really suggest a test fit.

All the best.

Also depends ALOT on the rims themselves. I guess it is possible to fit 16's with a bit of grinding, if they are steel rims, and not aluminum, but it would be tight. I have heard of people using steel 16.5's with no/very light brake grinding, but haven't heard of 16's before. Definitely want to do a fit on them before buying tho.
